THE SOCIAL CONTRACT

I, Jean Jacques Rosseau, am in the process of finishing my document known as the Social Contract.  This document shall be finished by 1762 and will become a gift to society.  My reasons for writing this document is that our society has been corrupted by the Holy Church and unjust laws.  I wanted to cleanse and save the world from a life of misery and disaster.  This Social Contract shall hopefully enable people to think with reason that will impact their influences to revolt.  If people begin to think with reason, their lives will appear fair and just.

INFLUENCES OF THE ENLIGHTENMENT

During the period of The Enlightenment I, Jean Jacques Rosseau, am a Philosopher whose purpose was to change individual thought patterns.  Thomas Hobbs, John Locke, and I are three people whose ideas seemingly changed the world.  What discovered is that how people only relied on the church for truth and fought without reason.  What came about when I stepped in and shared my thoughts, is how people began to think for themselves by using reason.  Also, during this time the first Encyclopedia was created with the help  of an acquaintance. Mr. Hobbs, Mr. Locke, and myself  participated by influencing the enlightenment of change regarding how the government was managed.  For example, the French Revolution have been influenced by The Enlightenment.  My influences changed the world into what it has become today, which demonstrates my importanance to The Enlightenment.

JEAN JACQUES ROSSEAU

My name is Jean Jacques Rosseau and I am a Swiss/French Philospher from the period of the enlightenment.  I lived in Paris, France most of my life.  I became famous for winning a contest  held by the Aademy of Dijon.  I  also became famous for my talent in music.  My major accomplishment in life is how I enabled   people to think about how they were living their lives while being corrupted by the church and the laws of the land.  My philosphies influenced the French Revolution and many others that occurred.

The Social Contract

I have started writing a document called Du Contract Social (The Social Contract). The year is 1763 and this document can help us. This paper can influence many people all over the world. Even the next generation can be changed by such a document. In this time our rules are rubbish and unfair to all. As i wrote this paper i thought about what is around us. I thought of one thing that i've said before while writing and that was, "Men is born free; and everywhere he is in chains. With this document the times can change and ruling can be changed. I'm writing this document to be an uplift from our rules. The document ltself is written in a way to touch on the subjects of sovereignty, slavery, voting, and the general will. All of these things can be changed due to this Social Contract that i've written so strongly.

My time "The Enlightenment"

Of course, as i said before I lived during "the Enlightenment". This was a time when people got a "wake up call". It was a period of time when philosophy and humanism (people believed and still believe that they are valuable) to come out as it is now. Great Britian and France were the center points of this time period. Some people that i've known from that time have been John Locke, Deidis Diderot ( I helped him with the Encyclopedia), and Germain de Stait. They are all great thinkers who have jump started rights and new ways of thinking about things around us. I have done much in political philosophy. For this i have influenced many in this time period. Some things that have been studied have been "human rights" and women's rights. We've explored what we can do in this world too. We changed the ways that they have been in the past and changed the way people think in all ways known now. This "Enlightenment" was considered to be from 1707 to 1850 but i would rather not say. My opinion on education is very different from the usual. In my book Emile, i wrote about how man must learn from nature.
